I Blew Up My Newsletter To 5000 subscribers in 48 hours..

Case study by Louis Nicholls

This is a case study of how a newsletter grew to 5000 subscribers in 48 hours. This can work for growing the user base of a platform not just newsletters.

There are many ways to acquire an audience. the most popular method is creating free content on any platform.

This strategy will usually take 6 months - 2 years before you can start gaining traction depending on the platform and your experience level. The fastest way to grow an audience is getting in front of an existing audience.

This means that whatever niche you are in there are people with a highly engaged audience. No matter the audience that you want to build there is someone that this particular audience are already consuming their content.

The case study strategy

The newsletter is in the "newsletter growth niche"

This was the strategy: I contacted 20 creators in my niche with my target audience.

The plan

The plan was to create a lead magnet that would be helpful for their audience.

since the niche is in the newsletter growth niche I created 300 landing page templates for newsletter growth with their average subscriber rate and all the metrics needed.

This will be precious to their audience and make them subscribe easily to my newsletter.

Now for each creator, the plan was to add them as a recommendation on the thank you pages using software [sparkloop] that will even rotate the visitors they get.

You will find out the secret gurus don't want you to know about making money online and a practical step to making your first $10,000 online with a business everyone can do.

This means when they send their audience to subscribe and get the free lead magnet there will be a recommendation widget for other creators that I partnered with. So, this is a win-win for everyone.

Now, it is time to contact the creators after everything is set.

I made sure that I engaged with the creators on Twitter or even email so that when I message them with the plan it will be easier because they have a glimpse of who I am.

I emailed or dm all the 20 creators and about 15 of them agreed to the plan. the whole thing was set for a date. I then  emailed them email swipes and even social media posts they can use to make their job easier.

When the day came 12 of those creators eventually posted the lead magnet.

The beauty of this is that some creators i did not contact also posted the lead magnet which lead to the newsletter blowing up to 5000 subscribers. They saw the lead magnet on their fellow creators social media profile; they must have thought if this creator can post this it is certainly valuable.

some people might think they only came for the free stuff. well below is the stat for the first newsletter send. A 73.4% open rate and a 46% click rate.

3 subscribers have also reached out to sponsor the newsletter and 2 of the subscribers have also asked if I offered paid consulting.

This is a newsletter growth case study but it can work for pretty much any business model. Building relationships with people in your niche with some audience can be of benefits especially when you have an idea that will benefit them and their audience. In this case the 300 templates was the value offer. it is called a lead magnet.

You can also do this when you are just starting out but don't go for the biggest creators it will be very hard to convince then. just reachout to the smaller creator with engaged audience and walk your way up.

Don't be the person who get and take everytime, be a person that want to give value and you will see success online.

You will find out the secret gurus don't want you to know about making money online and a practical step to making your first $10,000 online with a business everyone can do.
